The Greer Band Program has continually set high standards in concert band performance. Since its inception in 2004, the Symphonic Band has consistently received Superior ratings at festival, and from top to bottom has displayed technique, musicianship, and utmost class in all their performances. The Greer Symphonic Band is comprised of top wind and percussion students in grades 9-12 performing music grades V-VI. This group received a Superior rating in the 2005 and 2006 SCBDA Concert Festival. In addition, the wind ensemble performs at the Winter and Spring Concerts as well as other community events. Many of the students that make up this ensemble are also associated with All-State, Region and All-County Band.

Please plan accordingly so that you are present at each rehearsal. We are extremely short on time and will need every bit of time to prepare for concert festival along with our exchange concerts and possible festival later in April or May. Also, it is each members responsibility to come to each rehearsal prepared to play his/her part. Some rehearsals may become substituted for sectionals.
