A weekly note from our band director:

The 2011 marching band season is officially off and running.  The Greer Band has started off to a great start.  Students worked hard over the past 3 weeks preparing for the upcoming season.  I would like to thank all the students for their hard work over the many hours of rehearsal.  I would also like to thank my band staff once again for the fine job they did with helping prepare the students.  Band camp is an extremely demanding time of the year, but I am pleased that we were able to step up to the challenge.  One final group of people I would like to express my appreciation to the many parent volunteers that aided us during the weeks of camp.  From the daily chaperones to those that helped prepare meals, your support was deeply appreciated. 

This week the band travels to Seneca as the Yellow Jackets take on the Bobcats.  We will not be performing at halftime but will play in the stands as support for our team, cheerleaders and all the Greer fans.  Hope to see you in Seneca.
