A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTORS
We would like to thank everyone for making the transition to Greer High a very successful one. The kids have been working hard and we look forward to seeing them perform on Friday nights. We hope that you will be able to attend the game to see part of the show. The band will be performing the first two selections of the show. A schedule will be posted on the website for Friday. Please read it carefully. Thank you for all you do for the students of the Greer Band program. We wouldn't be able to do it without all the parent volunteers. Please get involved and help in anyway you can.
Mr. Norman/Miss Mohrmann
Greer High School Seal:
The school seal, designed by the faculty and students, was adopted by Greer High in 1935 to serve as a symbol for class rings. The seal contains a scroll with the school motto 'Parantes pro Civilate', (Preparing for Citizenship), and the coat-of-arms for the school. Within the coat-of- arms is a palmetto tree, an emblem of the state; a yellow-jacket, the emblem of the school- and a peach and a branch, symbolizing the community. Mountain peaks serve as the crest.
